Types of Fire Alarm Systems

  1. Conventional Systems

    • When a detector or call point is activated, the panel shows the zone with the fire.
    • Cost-effective for small buildings.
  2. Addressable Systems
    • Each device (e.g., detector, call point) has its own address.
    • The control panel identifies the exact location of the triggered device.
    • Suitable for large or complex buildings.
  3. Wireless Systems
    • Communicate via radio signals rather than wiring.
    • Faster to install; good for historic or listed buildings.
    • More expensive but flexible.
  4. Hybrid Systems
    • Combine wired and wireless elements.
    • Useful for phased renovations or expansions
